3 Questions – October

We are opening back up.

This means so many things for so many people. Some of us are super excited, and some of us are anxious. Some of us sit between the two, a feeling of not feeling anchored or settled in this new world.

It’s going to take time.

Talking of time, did you know there are 65 days until this year ends?

We all had some level of goals or plans at the start of this year, even if we knew our goals might not be realised.

As we open up, there are some goals we can resurrect and some that have passed their time.

This month’s three questions give you time to think, reflect on the goals you hoped to have achieved this year, and is there a way of starting, modifying, or completing any of them by December 31?

I had a 50km hilly endurance race planned in April 2020, then it moved to May 2021, and now it’s happening on November 21;  just under three weeks.

Although I have kept up my running through lockdown, my longest distance has been 21km, and there were no hills to train on; you need to train on hills for a hilly run.

I decided that I wouldn’t run any races this year but have changed my mind and run the 21km distance. Although the hills will be a challenge, I trained on those hills for a year, so I know what I’m in for, and I cannot wait to be back on the trails with my trail sisters and other runners.

3 Questions:

  1. If you could only complete or start one goal this year, what would it be?
  2. Does the goal need to be modified? If so, how?
  3. What is the first action, and when will you start?

You may have decided to let go of all your goals this year, which is fine. Because let’s be honest, it has taken a lot just to stay standing some days.

But if you are feeling invigorated and energised as the world opens up, maybe you can ignite one or some of your goals.

We have 65 days. They are your days. How do you want to end 2021?

Wishing you a weekend of taking your time.
